cristin bishara

Cristin grew up in a small Ohio town where she got her first library card at age three. She’s been reading and writing ever since. She earned her BA in English at Kenyon College, and then an MFA in creative writing (poetry) at St. Mary’s College of California.

Before publishing novels, Cristin worked as a freelance business writer, authoring magazine articles, as well as copy for gourmet food catalogs, advertisements, websites, and tourist guides. She’s taught composition and creative writing, both at the college level and in community workshops. She occasionally reads and evaluates theses for the Red Earth MFA program at Oklahoma City University.

A new Relativity story, based on Cristin’s debut novel, is currently in the pre-production phase for a podcast sequel.

Her second novel, Vial of Tears, earned prestigious starred reviews from both Kirkus and Shelf Awareness. It was named a Kirkus Reviews “Best Young Adult Book of the Year.”

Mothman kicks off the new Cryptid Chronicles middle-grade series, which means more Choose Your Own Adventure® books are in the works!

In her spare time, Cristin loves to travel, learn Spanish and Arabic, and cook—especially her grandmother’s Lebanese recipes. Learn more by following Cristin on Instagram and Threads.
